Of Abortion

H.R. 3 is controversial. Some it view it as a moral issue; some say it's a "waste of money", and some as an obstruction of liberties. However, the most disturbing fact on this issue is that the Republican Party wastes so much time on it rather than focus on the economy and job creation as they promised—Oh, pardon. They actually did do something on the economic issue. With the new "Paul Ryan's GOP Budget Plan", it proposed cutting-off funding for Public Schools, Public Services (Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, etc.), Environmental Services, Scientific Research and Medicare so that 1% of the American population, the rich—who most of them insisted to be taxed so they can help out—get large amounts of Tax breaks. Yes, Tax breaks for the RICH. We'll talk about that later—maybe not.

The House Bill H.R. 3, commonly called by the hardcore liberals as the "War on Women", does not directly ban abortion. However, as its title says, it is a measure that prevents federal funding and a number of health benefits for women that could also use money for abortions. It also negatively affects the planned-parenthood act and the use of contraceptives for reproductive health.

It is odd that the Republicans in Capitol Hill wasted so much effort in this, rather than on the more critical issues that affect the nation, such as the Economy and the Job Creation. It is possible that this mania about moral purity issues is influenced by a Religious upbringing, feeding an ideology that the act of Abortion is murder and is a sin against their god. What I am going to discuss right now is not a detailed dissection of the Bill, but a deep perspective on its central issue—abortion.

  • What does abortion kill in the process?
  • Why is it a moral dilemma?
  • Are there any negative repercussions if an Abortion is committed?
  • Does the Religious community have a reasonable moral ground for their Claims?

We should answer all of these questions in order for us to understand the nature of this issue. ...[Read More].

Enlever le voile! (take off the veil!)

You must have heard by now about France’s Anti-Burka Law passing into effect. This law prohibits women from wearing a Niqab or a Burka in Public places in France. A Burka is a full-body cover that is worn by muslim women, and the Niqab is a full-face cover. In my point of view, I honestly believe that this is a very harmful move made by the French Government. Even though I agree—covering a woman’s full body is not only a ‘security threat’, but is also a symbol of a thousand-year-old mistreatment of women; I agree that religious practices are tantamount to nonsense and are ultimately useless to humanity—but do you forcefully tell people take away what they were raised to do traditionally?
Imagine if you were a French Catholic and you will go to... [Read More]

What does it mean to be a real American? Compassion towards other people regardless of which Country or race are they from—or a Nationalistic, in-group preference with an undying grudge against people of Countries your nation went to war with in the past?
That’s unfortunate for this fellow. You see, after Katrina struck the United States, the Jap... [Read More...]

New failed concepts: “the god does not (not) exist?”—are you Kidding me?

"If the god does not exist, god also is not-nonexistent"—Just when you thought theists couldn’t be funnier than the hundreds of infantile arguments to defend that the god exists, another one came just about now, and my, surprisingly he was really quite serious in this new “findings” …[Read More]
